Participants are connected to community-based, daytime activities that fit their needs, abilities, and interests. The activities may include classes, volunteering fitness opportunities and social networking.

Participants are connected to community-based, meaningful daytime activities which can include: Yoga, Music, Art, Cooking, Sports & Rec, etc., assisted with establishing and maintaining a volunteer position and seeking, training and maintaining employment all while working on goals such as increasing socialization skills, practicing safety skills, learning advocacy skills, etc. Services can also be provided in the home and staff can support the individual with budgeting, completing household tasks and other tasks to assist them with gaining or maintaining independent living skills. Goals and supports are customer driven and based on the individual’s interests and needs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Resident of Mecklenburg County
- Age 18 or older
- I/DD diagnosis
- Innovations and b-3 Medicaid services exclude participation

Supported Employment (SE) and Work Adjustment (WA)
Counties Served: Mecklenburg County
Service Description: These programs provide vocational screening and assessment, job development, on-the-job training and long-term follow-along (SE only) services to increase success and satisfaction for the employee and the employer. Employers connect with dedicated, dependable employees who have the appropriate skills and training.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Resident of Mecklenburg County
- Age 18 or older
- I/DD diagnosis
- Eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation services
