Position: Group Home Manager

Description: This is a Full-Time live-in position available for a Group Home Manager in a female home, working 65 hours/week, providing support and supervision to 5-6 individuals with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities in a group home setting. Duties include supporting these individuals with daily living skills training such as cooking, cleaning; overseeing health care and attending doctor appointments, providing transportation, and planning community outings. The Group Home Manager is responsible for the supervision of 3 other part-time staff who also work at the house. Position also requires driving a full-size van on a daily basis. Other responsibilities include overseeing the group home budget, weekly menu planning, grocery shopping, and reporting maintenance requests. All group home staff are required to wear slip resistant shoes while on-duty.
Benefits: The Group Home has a manager’s suite including private bathroom and private entrance for the manager to use as their residence; rent free, utilities included. The Group Home Manger may reside at the group home on weekends, but will not be responsible to interact with the clientele during their off-duty hours. This position includes health insurance and life insurance as well as paid leave.
Qualifications: Applicant must be 18 years of age or older, one-year residential experience with special needs population and one-year supervisory experience, must have strong documentation skills, must have high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and a clear criminal background.
Additional Requirements: This is a live-in position. The candidate for this position must be willing to use the group home address as their residential address on their driver’s license.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Position requires sleeping overnight at the group home Sunday night through Thursday night. Hours are Sunday 6pm–10pm; Mon–Thurs. 6:00 am–5:00pm, (returning for sleep over by 9:30p); Fri: 6:30 am – 6:30pm.
Rate: $35K-$42K annually depending on overtime.
